This video is in response to someone who was asking me how to persist in prayer, what does that look like? To persist in prayer means to ask Jesus about everything. You know Jesus said to His disciples, "Ask anything in my name and I will do it." If you read James, James tells the people that, "Until now you haven't been asking in Jesus name" for real, but you have been asking just for the things that you want. A lot of people go before Jesus and they ask Him for the things that they want or they just pray tacking Jesus name onto the end of the prayer, but they're not really praying in the name of Jesus, meaning in the will of Jesus. If you want to be praying in His will, you have to be seeking His kingdom first. And the way you do that is seeking Him every day, every hour and letting Him lead you every step of the way. As you continue to persist in prayer, just ask the Lord Jesus to open your ears and open your eyes to see what He's doing. The thing is you have to continue ! to keep your eyes on Jesus. It seems so simple but it's so easy for people to miss. They want to look for the answers in a book or in their Bible or with another person, but if you want to find the answers you have to go to Jesus and just wait on Him. The Lord Jesus is the one who sends His Holy Spirit to those who are seeking Him, and the Holy Spirit by the power of Jesus is the one who guides us. So ask the Lord Jesus for the power of His Spirit who will guide you and lead you each step of the way
